Au Bon Marché
Au Bon Marché took place in the Beursschouwburg, a Brussels-based cultural centre, in December 2005. The idea was to have a cosy corner that would function as a help-yourself flea market. A series of objects were displayed: books, toys, slippers, alarm clocks; you could take whatever pleased you, on the sole condition that you put back something equally interesting. It was the ideal place to fetch a few original gifts for your friends; the wrapping paper and syrupy Christmas music were free.
This was a joint project of the Beursschouwburg and the Kringloopwinkel a centre for second-hand goods. Maarten Gielen and Tristan Boniver did the furnishing.
